EMDR Therapy Intensives in Oklahoma

Focused EMDR therapy for deep healing, clarity, and integration without the stop-start of weekly sessions

Why an EMDR Intensive?

1

Focused Time

Dedicated, extended sessions allow your brain and nervous system to stay engaged in the healing process without the interruption of weekly start-and-stop sessions.

2

Continuity & Momentum

Extended sessions make it possible to complete cycles of processing and integration, supporting clarity, relief, and forward movement.

3

Intentional Support

Each intensive is carefully tailored to your readiness and goals, with preparation, resourcing, and follow-up built in to support stability and integration.

As an EMDR Certified therapist with advanced training in complex trauma, dissociation, and the FLASH technique, I integrate EMDR with parts work, somatic awareness, experiential approaches, and mindfulness.
Each EMDR Intensive Program is intentionally paced across multiple sessions to support nervous system safety, informed consent, and meaningful integration.

Each EMDR Intensive Program is designed as a complete therapeutic experience, intentionally paced across multiple sessions to allow for preparation, focused EMDR work, and integration.

Sessions are typically scheduled on Fridays and spaced apart to support nervous system regulation and integration between sessions.

What to Expect in an
EMDR Intensive Program

  • This format is a good fit for many clients who want focused time to work with a specific experience, pattern, or concern, while still having preparation and integration built into the process. During consultation, we’ll discuss which option is the best fit for your goals and needs.

    1️⃣ Intake & Preparation (90 minutes)
We’ll review your history, goals, and readiness, complete assessments, and prepare your nervous system for the process ahead.

2️⃣ The Intensive Session (3 hours)
A focused, uninterrupted EMDR therapy session dedicated to processing distressing experiences, strengthening internal resources, or working toward future-oriented goals. The extended session allows for depth and continuity while maintaining attention to pacing and nervous system regulation.

    3️⃣ Integration & Follow-Up (90 minutes)
This session supports consolidation and integration of the work.
We’ll reflect on changes, reinforce new learning, review present triggers, and continue to integrate grounding and resourcing to support ongoing stability.

  • The Extended EMDR Intensive Program is designed for clients who would benefit from additional time and continuity in their EMDR work. This option allows space to work with multiple interconnected experiences, patterns, or goals while still maintaining preparation, pacing, and integration. During consultation, we’ll discuss which option is the best fit for your goals and needs.

    1️⃣ Intake & Preparation (90 minutes)
We’ll review your history, goals, and readiness, complete assessments, and prepare your nervous system for intensive EMDR work. This session helps clarify focus, strengthen internal resources, and ensure the extended format feels safe and supportive.

    2️⃣ Intensive Session I (3 hours)
The first intensive EMDR session focuses on identifying and processing priority targets, strengthening regulation, and building momentum. Time is paced intentionally to allow for depth while staying attuned to your nervous system and capacity.

3️⃣ Intensive Session II (3 hours)
A second extended EMDR session provides additional time to continue processing, address related targets, deepen resourcing, or work toward future-oriented goals. This session allows for continuity across sessions while supporting flexibility based on how the work unfolds.

    4️⃣ Integration & Follow-Up (90 minutes)
The integration session supports consolidation of the work completed across both intensive sessions. We’ll reflect on changes, reinforce new learning, review current triggers, and continue grounding and resourcing to support stability and integration moving forward.

Spacing extended sessions across multiple days allows time for reflection and integration between sessions while preserving the depth of intensive EMDR work.

FAQs

  • EMDR Intensives are a good fit for people who feel generally stable in their daily lives and are ready for focused, intentional therapeutic work.

This format works best when you can dedicate time before and after the intensive for rest, reflection, and integration.

During our pre-screening and consultation, we’ll explore whether this structure aligns with your goals, readiness, and support system.

  • The EMDR Intensive Program includes three sessions scheduled across multiple days: a 90-minute intake and preparation session, a 3-hour EMDR intensive session, and a 90-minute integration and follow-up session.

This pacing supports nervous system regulation, depth of processing, and meaningful integration.

Sessions are typically scheduled on Fridays.

  • Because this work is condensed and in-depth, intensives may not be appropriate if you are currently in crisis, experiencing untreated psychosis, active suicidal thoughts, severe dissociation, or are unable to maintain sobriety during the process.

Intensives may also not be a good fit if you don’t have space for rest and integration afterward.

Every client completes a pre-screening and consultation to ensure this format feels safe and supportive.

  • It’s common to feel emotionally full, tired, or reflective after an intensive.

Some clients notice a sense of relief or clarity, while others feel quieter or more inward for a few days.

We’ll discuss ways to support yourself before, during, and after your intensive, and your follow-up integration session is designed to help stabilize and reinforce the work we’ve done.

  • Yes. Many clients complete an EMDR Intensive while continuing with their primary therapist.

With your consent, I’m happy to coordinate care so the work from your intensive can be integrated into your ongoing therapy. This allows you to return to your therapist with new insight, momentum, and clarity.

  • Weekly EMDR therapy typically involves shorter sessions that include time for check-ins, grounding, and closing each week.

EMDR Intensives reduce the time spent opening and closing sessions and allow for extended, uninterrupted therapeutic work.

This format supports continuity, momentum, and deeper processing within a single therapeutic container.

  • I offer two EMDR Intensive Program options, depending on how much time would be most supportive for your goals.
